Stephen Corman, 64 years old, passed away across the heavens on June 7, 2013 during a long illness in hospitals.
Stephen was born in Nelson to Clayton and Daphne Corman and grew up west of rural Oak, Nebraska. He was the first of ten children.
Immediate next of kin are: mom Daphne of Nelson; Douglas, Richard, Michael, Kathleen, Barbara and Mark Corman. Stephen has one son Phillip, who with his wife Ann and Stephen's three grandchildren live in the Los Angeles, Calif. area. Stephen also leaves to mourn a very close family friend "Roy".
Stephen attended training schools until being drafted into the Army in 1966, serving a total of 6 to 7 years. After a brief stop in Nelson from Germany in 1968, he was then sent to Vietnam. He signed on for a second tour while in Vietnam. He returned to family roots around 1972. He had a painting business and was a professional truck driver until around 2006 when he was no longer able to drive due to health conditions. He then did other jobs until the past year.
Stephen did not request a funeral service. His love of family and soul are yet with us today and will be always.
