Benjamin Franklin, son of Mary Elizabeth and Benjamin Franklin Corman, was born November 17, 1879, at Wahoo, Nebraska, and passed away at his home northwest of Nelson, Nebr., May 18, 1940, at 3:30 p.m., at the age of 60 years, 6 months and one day.

In 1883 he came with his parents to Nuckolls County, where they settled on a farm near Cadams. He grew to manhood in this community, and spent the most of his life in the Nelson neighborhood, with the exception of about six and a half years that he lived in Colorado, Dakota and Kansas.

On February 25, 1904, he was united in marriage to Lillie Pentcelia (sic) Adamson, and to this union five children were born: two girls preceding him in death, Gladys Marie born January 12, 1914, passed away September 30 (sic), 1914; Dorthea (sic) Margarette born April 29, 1916, passed on April 20 (sic), 1918.

Mr. Corman confessed Christ as his Saviour and was baptized into Him and became a member of the Christian Church at Nora, Nebraska, in the year of 1907; later he transferred his membership to the Nelson Christian Church and was an active member until his death.

He leaves to mourn his parting, his wife, three children: Mrs. Clarence Gharring, Mrs. Hillery Houser (sic) of Nelson, and Willard who still lives in the home; four brothers, two sisters, and seven grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral services were held in the Christian Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L.W. Myers, Wymore, a former pastor here, assisted by Rev. C.M. Foust. Interment in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
