James Russell "Jimmy" Corman the son of Clayton and Daphne (Whitehead) Corman was born October 9, 1955 at Superior, NE. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Bryan LGH, Lincoln, NE at the age of 48 years.
Jim attended Oak Grade School and graduated from Nelson High School with the class of 1973. He furthered his education by attending Kearney State College. Jim served his country with the United States Army being inducted on September 14, 1975 and was honorably discharged on September 13, 1979.
Jim had several managerial jobs throughout his life in Colorado and Nebraska. He always enjoyed all sporting events, especially Denver Broncos, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Colorado Rockies and attending the World Series in 2001.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Philip and Roger, grandparents, Farmer and Grace Corman and Alvin and Mae Whitehead.
Survivors include his father Clayton Corman and step mother Paula of Ft. Worth, TX; mother Daphne Corman of Grand Island, NE; brothers: Steve Corman and wife Evie of Lincoln, NE; Douglas Corman and wife Debra of Grand Island, NE; Richard Corman of Lincoln, NE; Mike Corman and wife Deb of Grand Island, NE; Mark Corman of Cairo, NE; sisters Kathy Moore and husband Denis of Edgar, NE; and Barbara Corman of Grand Island, NE; nieces and nephews, and special friends Janice Mitzner and Duane and Betty Hartman of Lincoln, NE.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 14, 2004 at the Oak Community Church in Oak, NE. Pastor Steve Mathews officiated. Burial with military honors by Ft. Riley, KS was held in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, NE.
