Obituary:
Evan Corkish, retired blacksmith and a past master of Monitor Lodge No. 35, AF and AM, died Monday morning in a local hospital following an illness. A native of the Isle of Man, he had lived in Butte more than 50 years. He was a member of 'the blacksmiths' union. Among the surviving relatives are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Corkish of Butte; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Walter Callan of San Francisco, who is in Butte at present, and a grandson and granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Corkish of Yakima, Wash, The body is at The Richards funeral Home, where officers and members of Monitor Lodge No. 35 will conduct funeral services Thursday at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
