Celia Córdova, age 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 14, 2013 at home with her loving family at her side.
Celia is survived by her children, Mary R. García and Art, Frances T. Vallez, Patricia L. Kardeen and her husband, William, Juanita Córdova, Joseph A. Córdova and his wife, Julie, Louise Córdova, George Córdova and his wife, Denise, Lucille Córdova and Richard Leo Córdova and his wife, Helen, sisters-in-law, Lala Gutiérrez and Ninfa Córdova, fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchidlren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celia was preceded in death by her husband, José E. Córdova and many brothers, sisters and in-laws.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldón Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW by a Franciscan Friar. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Armijo, Harry García, Daniel Chávez, Ray Gutiérrez, Peter Tapia and Steve Córdova. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Córdova, Ronnie Córdova, Larry Durán, Leo Floyd Córdova and David Baca. The family would like to thank the staff from Gentiva Hospice for their kindness.
