The Gridley Herald (Gridley, California) 26 Jul 1932, Tuesday Page 1: Jane Adamson, 35, Dies In Los Angeles. News received yesterday of the death at 8:00 o’clock in the morning at a Los Angeles hospital of Mrs. Jane Adamson, daughter of Mrs. Mary Jane Corcoran, and former Gridley young woman came as a distinct shock to former schoolmates and friends of the deceased and family. Mrs. Adamson underwent a major operation Thursday morning at which time a telegram was sent her brother, D.P. Corcoran, stating that her condition was critical and that a second operation might be necessary. A second telegram received Saturday morning stated that the young woman was dying. Her brother and wife left immediately, arriving in Los Angeles Sunday morning, just 24 hours before death occurred.

The deceased grew to womanhood in the Gridley district, attending the Manzanita elementary school and the Gridley high school. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Corcoran of Los Angeles and the following brothers and sisters: John and Lyle Corcoran of Los Angeles, D.P. Corcoran of Gridley, Mrs. Agnes Brown and Mrs. John Caviesel of Los Angeles and Mrs. L.A. Beardsley of Sheridan, Ill. She was 35 years of age.

Funeral services are to be held Wednesday afternoon, July 27th, at 3:00 o’clock from the Block Funeral Home, Rev. H.H. Miller officiating … Interment will take place in Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
