Nancy C. Auman, 62, of Winnebago died suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.
Born Feb. 20, 1949, in Rockford, daughter of William M. and Ruth G. Waugh Corcoran. Graduated from Boylan High School in 1967. Following her employment at McFarland Office Supply for many years, she worked at Mid-City Office Products until her recent retirement. Nancy was an extraordinarily kind and selfless woman whose home was always open to friends and family - a "Mom" to many. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother whose grandchildren were the center of her universe.
Survived by daughters, Amy (Ian) Linnabary and Tricia (Kendrick) Collins; grandchildren, Jenaya Ford, Amiya and Keelan Collins, Connor, Aidan and Ella Linnabary, all of Rockford; sister, Karen (Holgeir) Oksnevad of Durand; brother, Michael Corcoran of Parker, Colo.; niece, Tara (Tim) Sisneros; nephew, Marc (Anne) Bliven; great-nieces, Kinsale, Ariana and Emery; great-nephew, Callan; several cousins, including her special cousins, Judy (Tom) Pniewski and Jan Markell.
Predeceased by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
