Peter was the son of Leonard Copper & Sarah Platts. He was born in Rowley, Essex County, Massachsetts. And he died in Halifax, Quebec, Canada. He was on the list of names as one of the Early settlers of Rowley.

He married Mary Skillian on December 25, 1755 in Ipswich, Essex Coounty, Massachsetts. To this union, 2 children were born.

Peter served in the French Indian war,(Seven Year War) went to Quebec, to fight the battle of Quebec and died returning, 22 Oct., 1759. He also served in the Nova Scotia Rangers, two companies raised in Massachusetts for Annapolis Royal Garrison.
