Betty Jean, age 71, of Bethany, died December 28, 2002 as a result of a tragic auto accident. She was born July 21, 1931 in Vinita, OK to Elijah M. and Julia Ann (Redwine) Coppedge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jody in 1997, a sister Ocie, brothers Lawrence, Clarence, Buford and Donald, who was killed while serving in WWII. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie and husband Joe Caruthers; 3 grandchildren, Jody Loal, Steven Michael and Keely Rachelle; sisters, Louise Giles, Norma Cullison, and Ruby Dyszynski; brothers, Norman and Jim Coppedge. Betty loved the Lord and was a member of Bethany Church of Christ. She loved to spoil Joe and Valerie and the grandkids. She enjoyed fellowship with her dinner club and trips to Montana with her friends. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for all the kindness they have been shown, Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Bethany Church of Christ with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
