Maries Co Gazette, Vienna, MO Feb 26, 1977 page 10: Della May Bade, 88, of Vienna, was born on January 18, 1908 at Vienna, a daughter of Henderson Monroe and Martha Lucinda Rober[t]son Copeland, and departed this life at 1:07 p.m. Friday, January 17, 1997, in the St. Elizabeth Care Ctr, St. Elizabeth. Mrs. Bade had been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Bade was united in marriage on March 9,1924, in Vienna, to Joseph Robert Bade and to this union two children were born. he was preceded in death by her husband on March 29, 1987, her father on Aug. 12, 1930, her mother on Feb 14, 1962, four brothers, Freeman Copeland, Sterling Copeland, James M. Copeland and Homer S. Copeland; and one sister, Mrs. Eunie I. Bade.

Mrs. Bade was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vienna. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker all of her working life. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Bade include one son, Donald Bade of Vienna, one daughter, Dorothy Nunley of St Charles, one sister, Mabel E. Brown of Topeka, Ks, three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conduted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan 20, 1997 in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with Rev. Cellis A. Crum, Vienna, officiating. "What a friend we have in Jesus" was sung for the funeral service. Interment was in the Vienna Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church building Fund, Vienna, with envelopes available at the Vienna office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
