Bessie C. Binsberger, formerly of Hilltown Township, died Monday, March 14, 2005, in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was 90. She was the wife of the late Mathias Binsberger, who died in 2000, and the late Robert T. Hendricks, who died in 1950. Born in Hilltown Township, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Ann (Overholt) Cope. A seamstress, she had been employed by the former Royal Pants Factory, Perkasie, for many years before retiring in 1980. Previously, she worked for the former Jacques DeLoux Sweater Factory, Sellersville, during the late 1950s. During the 1940s, she sewed baseballs at home for Hubberts Baseball Co., Perkasie. She was a lifetime member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ, Perkasie, where she sang in the church choir for more than 40 years and also volunteered with the churchs blood drive. Along with her husband, she volunteered for the Pennridge Meals on Wheels Program, delivering meals for 18 years. Survivors: Daughters, Roberta H. Schaeffer and her husband Dennis of Perkasie, Donna R. Duckworth and her husband Merrill of Center Valley; stepdaughters, Rose M. Thieme of Red Hill, Marie Kulp of Sellersville; stepson, Ronald M. Binsberger and his wife Yolanda of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, David Pronkowitz and his wife Lynn, Robert Schaeffer and his wife Marlene, Bradley Schaeffer and his wife Diane, Brian Schaeffer and his wife Sherri, Denise Mayhew; stepgrandchildren, Warren Hendricks Jr. and his wife Jane, Ruth Artz, Darwin Hendricks and his wife Pat, Donald Hendricks and his wife Esther, Terry Smith; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Alverna Hager of Perkasie. She was preceded in death by sisters, Virgie, Florence, Laura, Blanche, Ethel and Adella, brothers, Damon and Norman, two infant sisters, a stepdaughter, Lovina, and a stepbrother, Warren. Services: Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service to be held Friday, March 18, 2005, at 11 a.m. in St. Andrews United Church of Christ, 615 E. Walnut St., Perkasie. Interment will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch St., Perkasie, or Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church. Contributions: May be made to St. Andrews United Church of Christ, 615 E. Walnut St., Perkasie 18944.
