Glenn E. Copas, a Hollister resident, died in his home Monday, September 10 at the age of 64. Mr. Copas was an adventurer at heart and had ridden his motorcycle to the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota this summer with his son, Gary. He rode the four corners of the United States with his friend Les, and recently visited Russia. He was an avid gardener, and specialized in tomatoes and squash. His friends and family reaped the benefits of his efforts. He was a respected income tax preparer and Realtor for over 25 years with more than 600 clients. He is survived by his sons Gary and Bryan, daughters-in-laws Catherine, Sandra and Gina, grandchildren Ashley, Gregory Jr., Taylor and Caitlyn, as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Olive, his wife of 37 years Leonette, his twin brother Gordon, his sister Shirley Gafford and son Gregory Sr. Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1024 Piedmont Road, San Jose on Saturday, September 22 at 2 p.m. In lieu of sending flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the National Parks Conservation Association, 1300 19th Street N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036.
