Dennie James Cooper, 68, died Saturday in Nathan Adelson Hospice.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Washington, Utah, and was a retired heavy-equipment operator in construction. He was a 48-year resident of Henderson and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12.
He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi Clifton; son, Danny; and sisters, Wanda Gibson, Leona Hinton and Winne Prince, all of Henderson; brother, Cleave of St. George, Utah; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary-Henderson and one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Friday in the Desert Rose chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
