Ozella Cooper of Gig Harbor, WA passed on Monday, March 2nd. She was a native of Abilene, Texas, where she graduated high school. She and her late husband; Jack Cooper, were married in Ipava, IL, while Jack was stationed at Camp Ellis. Jack was a native of Yuba City, CA. She and Jack came to Sacramento in 1947, and spent most of their lives in the Sacramento area. Jack passed away in 1993, in Wheatland CA. In 2002, Ozella moved in with her Grandson in Washington. She retired from Weinstocks Department Store in Sacramento, after 19 years of employment. She was a long time member of the Charles Eggen American Legion Post 82. She was a past President of La Sactete De Femme Cabane 262 from 1978-1979. She is survived by 2 daughters: Judy West of Sacramento, CA and Cathy Smith of New Mexico. 5 Grandchildren: Leanne Wyatt of Sacramento, CA; Eric Ludwig of Gig Harbor, WA; Jody Smith of Devil's Lake ND; Jana Waltman of Sacramento, CA; Shellee Shields of Sacramento CA. and 5 great grandchildren and many, many dear friends. Services will be held in Yuba City at Ullrey Funeral Chapel, 817 Almond Street, Yuba City, CA 95991 on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 1 PM. Burial services will be directly after at Sutter Cemetery, in Sutter CA. Memorials can be sent to Shriner's Hospital for Children of Northern California, 2425 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95817
