Mrs. Cooper was born in Goldsboro, N.C. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Queen of Sheba, Chapter (NU)2.
Survivors include a daughter, Louise Smith Reed of Norfolk; a sister, Ida Lee Gore of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, Wilma W. Suiter and Paul R. Riddick; and four great-grandchildren, Rodney L. Suiter, Paula R. Riddick, Paul R. Riddick Jr. and Phelecia R. Riddick.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1225 R St., N.W., Washington, D.C. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Latney Funeral Home, Washington, is handling arrangements.
