COOPER - Arthur B Cooper of Rt. 1, Box 468, Springfield, Ore., passed away near John Deere, Ore., Sat., Oct. 4 1952 at the age of 56. He was born in Stillwater, Okla., Aug. 31, 1895. He was a gate man for Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. He was married to Ethel E. Ruf in Arkansas City, Kan. Jan 16, 1918. He has been a resident of Springfield for the past 8 years. He was a member of Crescent Lodge No. 133 A.F. & A.M., Wichita, Kan. He is survived by his wife Ethel, Springfield; 1 son, Donald Edward Cooper of Springfield; 1 daughter, Mrs. Michael Uchytil, Springfield; his father, Edward L Cooper of Springfield; 1 grandson, Donald E Cooper Jr., Springfield. Funeral services will be held at the Bartholomew-Buell Chapel Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1952 at 2 p.m. Clinton L Storm and Virgil Leach officiating with watchmen from Weyehaeuser Timber Co. serving as pallbearers, with interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
