Martin Eugene Cooper was one of a kind man. He was always smiling and loved to sing. One of my favorites that I loved to hear him sing, "Green, Green Grass of Home." He had such a nice voice.

I never heard Uncle Bud raise his voice to anyone, not even his children. Everyone loved Uncle Bud, he was like a big magnet, everyone wanted to be around him.

Uncle Bud was a Christian man that loved God. He would give his shirt or anything else he had, if you needed it.

He married his beloved Bobbie Jean. She had two boys from her first marriage. Uncle Bud raised them as his own. I did not know until I was in my teens that he was not their biological dad. He and Aunt Bobbie Jean had two children. He never show any difference between the four of them. Always treating them and loving them the same.

When his beloved Bobbie Jean died he was so heartbroken. It took him some time to get over losing her. He knew Wanda for years. They started dating and the spark came back into Uncle Bud's eyes once again. They married and were very happy. Years later, Uncle Bud started having a lot of pain in his stomach. He found out he had cancer of the kidneys. Wanda took care of him until his death. When Uncle Bud died the light went out for a lot of us. Martin Cooper Jr. (Bud) will never be forgotten by anyone that met him.
