Birth: 1871
Death: 1905
Park City
Summit County
Utah, USA

Believed to be a cousin of Martin and Peter Cooney, two Park City brothers, he died in 1905 at the age of 34, apparently of complications from typhoid fever. Hospitalized, rheumatism developed and settled into his heart, killing him. He had worked as a blacksmith for the past ten years for the American Flag Mine Company, and was the business manager of the Park City Banjo Club, which had been organized in December 1896. The local newspaper reported that he had left a 500 dollar insurance policy to his wife, Lena Stoll Cooney, a local Park City girl that he had married on September 23, 1899.
