Funeral services will be held Sun. Dec. 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Slater Funeral Home, Trenton, With Rev. Doug Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Spickard Masonic Cemetery, Spickard, MO.
Family visitation will be held Sun. from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Slater Funeral Home.
Memorials to: Spickard Masonic Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
Mrs Mary F. Coon was born Nov. 5, 1927 in rural Spickard the daughter Gwinn and Bessie Lucinda McLaughlin Stamper. She attended Loan Star Country and Mercer County Schools. She was a former resident of Spickard moving to Trenton in 2006. She had been employed by Swift Foods, Trenton Foods,The Mercer County Tax Collector, Trenton Township Tax Collector and Eastview Manor Care Center. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
She was a member of Modena Baptist Church.
On July 3, 1943 she was married to Garland E. (Doc) Coon at Trenton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2006.
Her survivors include one daughter Mary Louise Tracy and husband Steve of Trenton. One son Jerry Coon and wife Sue of Trenton. Seven Grandchildren Dawn Hayes, Casey Stiles, Lindsey Brewer, Katie Coon, Dalton Preston, Jaci Tracy, and Jessica Tracy. Four great grandchidren Chase Hayes, Brody Hayes, Paiton Brewer, and Zeb Wilson, Many nieces and nephews. .
She was preceded in death by her parents, One son James Garland Coon, one sister Naomi Ruth Stamper, two brothers Elmer McLaughlin and Ben Stamper.
