She born on July 18, 1926 in Malad, Idaho to Dean and Blanche Goddard Coombs.
Nadene spent her childhood living in the family farm in Riverside, Utah.
She married Francis Eugene Burns in Pomona, California on January 28, 1944. She later moved to Hays, Kansas with her husband then they moved to Washington Terrace, and she has been there the past 55 years.
Nadene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church callings including Ward and Stake Primary, Relief Society and she was still serving as ward and stake single adult leader when she passed away. She was the Secretary of the local chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She loved to read, do crafts and organize church activities.
Nadene is survived by her two daughters, Vicky (John) Simmons, Syracuse; Debra (Mark) Aston, Draper. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Gary Dean Coombs, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
