Cyrus Cook, an old settler of Shawnee county, died last Thursday evening at his home east of Grantville at the age of 79 years. He settled in Shawnee county before the Civil war and has lived here ever since. He leaves a wife and six sons. The later will act as pallbearers at the funeral which will be held tomorrow. Burial will take place in the cemetery near Newman.
