Charles E. COOK, 94, United Methodist home, Franklin, father of Mrs. Dale (Elizabeth) Berkebile, Rochester, died Saturday in the United Methodist home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1883 in Louisville, Ky., to William and Elizabeth Pearcy Cook and was married in 1961 to Louise Dingle, who survives. He had lived in the United Methodist home for 13 years, moving there from North Manchester. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist church, Franklin; Masonic lodge, North Manchester; the Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne; the Mizpah Shrine Temple, Ft. Wayne; Kiwanis club, North Manchester; Indiana State Teachers association; National Education association, and State Superintendents association.

He was a teacher and superintendent in the North Manchester schools for 43 years and served as principal in the Bloomington, Valparaiso and Wabash schools. He was a past Masonic state grand commander in 1955, a state grand prelate in 1956 and received his 33rd degree in 1959. Surviving with the wife and daughter are a son, Charles Robert COOK, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist home, Franklin, and at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bender funeral home, North Manchester, with Dr. Orrin MAIFOLD officiating. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Oaklawn cemetery, North Manchester.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. today at the United Methodist home, Franklin, and 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Masonic home, Franklin.
