Eunice Bragg Cook, 86, of 109 Inn Circle, and formerly of 300 S. Weston St., Fountain Inn, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000.
She was a native of Owings. She was the wife of the late John Broadus Cook Jr. and the daughter of the late Filar and Victoria Gwinn Bragg. She was a graduate of Fountain Inn High School and Anderson College. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and organist for the church for 40 years. She was past President of the WMU, and a member of Owings and Harmony Community Home Demonstration Clubs. She was a Postmistress for Owings and Gray Court Post Offices and worked in the Greenville Post Office for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Brooks and husband, Dozier Brooks, of Fountain Inn, and Libby Alexander and husband, Charles Alexander, of Simpsonville; one sister, Maude Henderson of Fountain Inn; three grandchildren, Debbie Alphin, Beth Gunter and John Brooks; and six great-grandchildren, Jeremy Guthrie, Chris Broyles, Cory Broyles, Taylor Gunter, Paige Brooks and Parker Brooks. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Iola Brown, Lillie Mae Taylor; three brothers, Edwin, Rush, and Adgar Bragg; and one granddaughter, Ashley Brooks.
Visitation will be held tonight, Dec. 30, 2000, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.
Services will be held Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, Fountain Inn.
