She lived at Crowley Nursing home for the last 3 years of her life and was loved dearly by all there. A memorial service was held there on June 6 2014 and music provided by Down Home Praise Doy Cloninger Officiant

If you don't know Him he is calling you today. The Lord wants you to draw close to Him. Where else can you turn in times such as these? Our friends and family are of great comfort but cannot be matched by the complete comfort the Lord gives us. As in Philippians 4:7

She was a dear friend to many around here a very special lady that will be missed for her caring and compassion. Mama cook and I became close friends and even developed into more of a mother and son relationship. We talked about many things as I took her to her appointments over the years and she told me she wanted to adoped me as her son this was a joke at first but turned into a real mother and son relationship I will miss her greatly as she brighted up my days. I will miss seeing her every tues and thurs morning she would be setting up by the desk at 7am even though her appt was not til 9 that was her time to be out and visit. The pator at her other service said it was hard to morn someone that is dancing with the Lord right now. I never saw her walk she always in her wheel chair she is walking now and in no more pain as the bible teaches there is no more pain or suffering in heaven. I know she is in heaven now because she was a fine Christian lady and knew and loved the Lord but she's not there because she was a fine person she is there because she made the Jesus the lord of her life. We can see her again and our other loved ones if we have made the Jesus the Lord of our lives. The bible tells us this in 1st Thes 4
So what now. Mama Cook wanted me to tell you that she wants to see you all again The Lord is always there waiting for you to take a step. Rev. 3:20 says Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hears my voice and open the door I will come in. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ do it now Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you shall be saved Romans 10:9 Rom 10:13says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
Oh Lord, support us all the day long, until the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed and the fever of life is over, and our work is done.
Then, in thy mercy, grant us a safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at the last.
