Dominick P. Conte, Jr., 87, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born April 29, 1924, in Brockton, he was the son of the late Dominick P. Conte Sr. and Catherine (Jiulio) Conte. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a retired route salesman working for Frito Lay Co. He enjoyed watching city league softball and all sports. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling. He was a member of the Bertocci Club. He is survived by his sons, Philip, William and James Sheehan; his grandchildren, Philip, Andrew, Jennifer and Patrick Sheehan. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the longtime companion of Evelyn M. Bige Sheehan. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton, Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 12 p.m. Private cremation will follow.
