KILLEEN — Lois Ann Anderson, 73, of Killeen died Tuesday, July 19, in a Temple hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lifeway Fellowship Church with the Rev. Jimmy Towers officiating.
Burial will be held in Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, Fla.
She was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Arthur and Dorothy Anderson Constable. She attended Peabody High School in Pittsburgh. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Florida State University and a master's degree in management from Troy University. She worked as an Air Force historian and intelligence analyst and for the U.S. Federal Service. She retired as dean of the Continental Campus at Central Texas College. She married James Anderson on Aug. 19, 1955, in Winchester, Pa. She was a member of the Killeen Sister Cities; Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce Board; Viva Les Arts Board; Fort Hood Officers' Wives' Club; Metroplex Hospital Foundation Board; and the Killeen Personnel Hearing Board. Among her achievements are two published articles and national recognition as the Air Force Historian of the Year and she received designation as a Fort Hood Good Neighbor.
Survivors include her husband of Killeen; two daughters, Starr Ann Beauchamp of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Vicki Lyn Davidson of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Rosemarie Nabors of David, Fla.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Anderson Endowed Scholarship at the Central Texas College Foundation.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
