Barbara Ann Connett Bush, 81, widow of Chandler Matthewson Bush, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.

Mrs. Bush was born in Robinson, Ill, on June 25, 1932, a daughter of the late Max Arnold Connett and Julia Lucille Rogers Connett.

She was an artist and a member of the Georgetown Art Guild, and she travelled abroad to paint. Mrs. Bush had a great love for animals and volunteered for SC Cares. She was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir.

She was survived by a son, Eric Keith Breithaupt of Georgetown; a daughter, Lisa Ann (Wayne) Johnson of Fort Worth, Tex.; a step-son, Tim Bush; two step-daughters, Kathy Battle and Amy Bush; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were at the graveside Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church Columbarium. The Rev. Ramsey Gilcrest officiated. Mayer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
