Survivors of Mrs. Barker include two daughters, Janice Duffey and husband, Junior, of Clover and Wanda Lacks and husband, James, of Drakes Branch; four sons, Jimmy Conner and wife, Tammie, of Scottsburg, Tony Conner and wife, Debbie, of Timberlake, NC, Roger Conner and wife, Janet, of South Boston and Randy Conner and wife, Kelley, of Halifax; two brothers, Allen Lloyd and wife, Linda, of South Boston and Joe Lloyd and wife, Charlotte, of Scottsburg; one sister-in-law, Patsy Lloyd of South Boston; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Jacobs of Roxboro, NC.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Barker was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Wade Jackson; three brothers, Frankie, Clarence and Howard Lloyd; and one sister, Gracie Lloyd Wilson.
The family received friends at Brooks Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barker will be held at Bethel Hill Baptist Church Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jason Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
