Funeral services for Edith Marie Blanks, 87, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time (9 a.m.).
Edith Marie Blanks passed away at the Heart Hospital in Plano, Monday, Oct. 3, 2011.
She was born June 10, 1924, in Hedley, the daughter of Stanley Martin Conner and Roxie (Wyninegar) Conner.
She married Charles Blanks in Amarillo. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blanks was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 8560.
Survivors include one son, Joe Blanks of Sulphur Springs; three grandchildren, Michael Blanks, Edi Wood and Chad Lee Wood; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Blanks and Donnie Wood, and one brother, Gilbert Conner.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
