"MRS. CONNER DIES"
"Mrs. Thelma Santa Cruz Conner, 27 years old, a native and life long resident of North Biloxi, died there at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Santa Cruz this morning at 4:10. She was the wife of Raymond Conner, who is connected with the Mississippi Power Co., at Hattiesburg, and (she) was well known along the Coast section. Her death followed an illness of nearly two years but only in the past several days had her condition become serious. Besides her husband and parents she leaves six sisters, Mrs. Esther Etherton, Mrs. Ida Fountain, Mrs. Evelyn Pyron and Mrs. Leo DeGeorge and Misses Margaret and Mae Santa Cruz; and four brothers, Willie, Joe, Burke and Jules. Funeral will probably be held tomorrow pending arrival of the latter three brothers who are in the outside waters on boats and for whom the Coast Guard officials are looking for today to notify them of the death. Services will be conducted under the auspices of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Rev. Father O'Sullivan and interment will be in the Biloxi cemetery. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday."
