Veda Mae Boudreaux, 88, of Creole died at 3:28 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Boudreaux was born on October 5, 1926 in Lake Arthur, LA and lived most of her life in Creole. She was a retired school bus driver for Cameron Parish. Mrs. Boudreaux was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar Society.

She enjoyed many things in her life including crocheting, quilting, sewing, and playing “seek a word” puzzles. Mrs. Boudreaux adored her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She often played Skip-BO with her sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her five children and their spouses, John “T-Boy” Boudreaux and Josie of Creole, Beverly Dyson and Leroy, Dora Dyson and Chester, and Roy Boudreaux and Patricia all of Sweetlake, and Diane Armentor and companion, Carol Trahan of Johnson Bayou; six siblings, Alva Savoie, Margie Savoie, Emma Jean Crochett, John C. Conner, Adam “T-June” Conner, and Ella Mae Duhon; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Arthemond Conner; her husband, Garland Boudreaux; a son, Patrick Boudreaux; two siblings, Dorothy Bonsall and Clifford Conner; a grandson, Keith Dyson; a granddaughter, Kelly Boudreaux; and two great grandsons, Tyler James and Joseph Paul Boudreaux.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. The Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday in the church life center with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.
