MARY E. CHARLES
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Charles, 84, of 218 W. Washington St., died at her home at 6:10 a.m. yesterday.
Mrs. Charles was born in Mayo county, Ireland, May 12, 1865. She came to America in 1887, and settled in Springfield.
Mrs. Charles was married to Andrew J. Charles, Nov. 7, 1892. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Miss Teresa Charles and Mrs. Lillian Phelps, of city; two sons, Clarence C. Charles and John T. Charles, both of city; four grandchildren; two great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Agnes church with Msgr. A.E. Giusti officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Remains are at the Kirlin & Egan funeral home where friends may call from 4 to 9:30 p.m. today.
