The Submarine Base at San Pedro where she founded the Connell Club as a recreation area for sailors sent a military detail to her funeral, after she died in an auto accident in the far reaches of the San Fernando Valley. A delegation from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra Society also attended as she was vice president. She was born Mary Agnes Keane.
