Prominent Los Angeles clubwoman. Devoted to charity she organized and became chairman of the Enlisted Men's Club and received a thank you Round Robin note signed by 3000 enlisted men and a letter of commendation from Secretary of War Josephus Daniels. The Submarine Base at San Pedro where she founded the Connell Club as a recreation area for sailors sent a military detail to her funeral, after she died in an auto accident in the far reaches of the San Fernando Valley. A delegation from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra Society also attended as she was vice president. She was born Mary Agnes Keane.
