Clair Charles Conn, 81, died at 4:18 PM Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where he had been hospitalized three weeks. Born in Brook on July 13, 1915, he graduated from Brook High School, and had lived in the Lafayette area since 1946. He married Charlotte Wehr in Texas in 1943; she died March 8, 1980.
Mr. Conn retired as postmaster of the Lafayette Post Office in 1973. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 11 and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Preceded in death by a brother and sister.
