Yvonne was born in Bugtussle, Oklahoma, to Ed and Bonnie (Anthony) Conn. She graduated from Indianola High School in 1953. She married Arvin Burns on May 3, 1954, in Scipio. After their marriage, they moved to Colorado for 18 years. They later moved back to McAlester in June 1972. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Arvin Burns, of the home; son, Billy Burns, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three daughters and son-in-law, Teressa Bristol, Mandeville, La., Lorna and Travis Ware, Wichita, Kan., and Donna Burns, of McAlester. Also, grandchildren and spouses, Joe Burns, Wichita, Kan., Mike and Jenny Burns, Wichita, Kan., Cassi Burns and fiancé, Cody Kelley, of McAlester, Bonnie Galloway, Wichita, Kan., Ryan Bristol, of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Bristol, Mandeville, La., and Dewane Ware, Wichita, Kan.. And, six great-grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyal and Maurine Conn, of McAlester. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Bonnie Conn; three brothers, Billy, Loran, and Don Conn, and one sister, Hazel Traut. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Tannehill Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
