Funeral Rites for C. T. Conger Saturday. Educator's Body Will be Cremated; Victim of Heart Disease
Funeral services for Charles Thompson Conger, high school teacher who died Monday of heart disease, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bresee Brothers' Mortuary, 855 South Figueroa street. The body will be cremated at Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Conger was 56 years of age and a graduate of the universities of Minnesota and Chicago and several European institutions. He came to California in 1906 and was principal of the Kern county and Porterville Union High schools before coming to this city in 1912. For the last three years he had been teacher of science at Franklin High School. Since 1919, Mr. Conger also had been editor of the Los Angeles School Journal. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Florence Conger.
