STATESBORO, Ga. — Mrs. Mae Evelyn Cone Coleman, 86, passed into eternal rest on January 11, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, after an extended illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Scarboro Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Coleman.

She is survived by eight children, Marie (Henry) Lane, Portal, the Rev. Jobie Coleman, Statesboro, Eugene Coleman, Statesboro, Elder Jimmy Coleman, Portal, John (Deliah) Coleman, Statesboro, Cynthia Bostic, Portal, Patricia (Elder Donell) Harden, Portal, and Everline (Bishop A.C.) Pierce, Statesboro; one brother, Deacon Ed Foy Cone, Statesboro; two sisters, Wardella Heath, Killeen, Texas, and Ella Davis, San Antionio, Texas; one sister-in-law, Ada Butler Lloyd, Portal; one brother-in-law, Dennis Coleman, Pooler; one great-aunt, Ruthie Mae Cone-Weaver; a close friend, Ella Lane; 30 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Coleman will be held on Saturday, January 19th, at 11 a.m. at Scarboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Cone, eulogist, and Bishop A.C. Pierce, presiding. The Rev. Grant Turner is the pastor.
