A native of Alexandria Bay, he had resided in the Syracuse area for 40 years.
He was a salesman for the Dan Curtin Oldsmobile Co., and he had formerly been associated with the Bresee Chevrolet Co.
He attended Fairmount Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marjorie R. Comstock; a daughter, Mrs. John Oley; two sons, Gary and Thomas Comstock; a grandson, Jeffrey Oley; a brother, George Comstock; and a sister Mrs. Robert Coupal of Rochester.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Van Dusen Funeral Home, 136 W. Castle St. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
