Obituary: Sterling - Services for Glenn E. Compton, 48, Bushnell, Ill, former resident of this community, who died Tuesday in his home, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wheelock funeral home. The Rev. Loyal Wilkinson, pastor of First Congregational church of Sterling, will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Falls Odd Fellows cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home. Mr. Compton was born in Rock Falls, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Compton. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda and Susan Compton; two sons, Eugene and Gregory; his mother; four sisters, including Mrs. Lita Grant and Mrs. Doris Reitzel, both of Rock Falls; and a brother.
