CARLEY "CARL" COMBS, 71, of Black Forest died Sept. 21, 1991, in Denver. He was a painter.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., with the Rev. Art Ames officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eastonville Cemetery, Black Forest. Swan-Law is handling arrangements.
Mr. Combs was born July 16, 1920, in Hazard, Ky., to Irvin and Catherine (Summer) Combs.
He had lived in Black Forest since 1979 and also had lived in Denver. He attended Village Seven Presbyterian Church.
He was in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Combs was married Feb. 2, 1950, in Cincinnati to Emily Curry, who survives.
He also is survived by a son, Ronald Irvin of Cincinnati; three daughters, Carlene Clevenger of Louisville, Mary Catherine Calhoun of Black Forest and Bobbie Jean Rains of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
