Dwight Combs, 84, of Aliceville, Kansas, passed away early Thursday, December 06, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

He was born May 8, 1928, on the family farm north of Burlington, the son of Lester William and Ulah Leona (Noel) Combs.

On February 15, 1953, he and Ina June Hunter were married in LeRoy, Kansas. They became the parents of four daughters.

Dwight farmed and raised livestock all of his life. He also worked at many other jobs in the area over the years in addition to his farming.

He and Ina suffered the loss of their daughter, Kimberly Sue Wallace, on December 27, 1995. He was also preceded by 3 brothers, Leonard, Robert, and Troy Combs.

Dwight leaves Ina, his wife of nearly 60 years, of the home in Aliceville; his daughters, Sandra Combs of Pittsburg, Terry Jo Combs, of Iola, and Vicky Stout and husband Bob of Iola; 3 grandchildren, James David Wallace, Rashawna Stripling, and Hayley Westerman and husband Brandon; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lincoln Chance Stripling, Jaydie June Combs, and Brodon Dwight Michael Westerman.

The family will meet with friends for visitation on Saturday, December 8, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, from 12:30 P.M. until proceeding to St. John Cemetery at Aliceville for 2:00 PM graveside services.
