Company A, 6th North Carolina Infantry "The Bloody Sixth", Whiting's Brigade, Whiting's Division, 2nd Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Residence was not listed; 20 years old.
Enlisted on 5/28/1861 at Mecklenburg County, NC as a Private, he mustered into "A" Co. NC 6th Infantry.
Wounded 7/1/1862 in the Battle of Malvern Hill, VA.;
died of wounds.

The 6th Infantry Regiment State Troops was organized at Camp Alamance, near Company Shops (Burlington), North Carolina, in May, 1861. The men were from the counties of Mecklenburg, Orange, Burke, Catawba, McDowell, Mitchell, Yancey, Alamance, Rowan, Wake, Caswell, and Chatham. (bio by: BigFrench)
