Mrs. Harvey Bell, 86, of Cherry Street Manor, died Thursday, 19 Sep 1974, in a local hospital. She formerly lived at George Wright Homes and had been a resident of Lamar County for more than 50 years. Funeral services were held Saturday in Leverett and Steele Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Elsom and Rev. Pete Rathel, both of Ramseur Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Hettie Colston Bell was born 22 Oct 1887, in Marietta, Okla., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Colston. She married Harvey P. Bell in 1905, in Marietta, his death occurring in 1940. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Autry Bell of Paris; Oscar and Larue Bell, both of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie Boren of Blossom and Mrs. John Wheeler of Lawton, Okla.; a brother, Tom Colston, of Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
