Ocala- Frances Colosimo, 101, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
She was a member of the Seniors' Group and the Women's Club of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, and a minister of Praise. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Classy Ladies in Maitland, FL, and a member of the Grief Support Group at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Maitland, FL. In her career, she was a long distance telephone operator and a Scout Leader for nine years, and was a partner with her husband in their business in New Jersey for many years. She also taught bread baking classes and taught craft-making. She received many rewards and acknowledgements for her many volunteer efforts.
She leaves behind her three children: Frances Mainardi (Mark) of New Jersey; Mary Behan (Thomas) of Ocala, FL; and Fred Colosimo of North Carolina. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Colosimo.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, FL 34471, with Father Patrick Sheedy officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic Education Fund. http://www.hiers-baxley.com/
