Donald was the son of William and Theresa Collopy. Donald proudly served his country in the US Army in Korea from 1955-1956. He joined the NYPD in 1961 and worked in numerous precincts in the Bronx retiring in 1998 as Lieutenant of the 42nd Pct. in the Bronx. Donald is survived by his wife Eleanor of 49 years and their children Maryann, Laura Magliola, Donald and his wife Jessica, Craig and his wife Eileen, and Beth and her husband Rob Hagan. Grandchildren KaylieRose, Paige, Alana, Craig, Madison, Connor, Jack, Amanda and Ryan. Also surviving are his brother Dennis and his wife Kathy, and his sisters Eileen McHale, and Diane Keeley and many nieces and nephews. Donald is predeceased by his daughter Terry.
