Mrs. Sarah Katherine Alexander, wife of A.W. Alexander, for many years an Olney resident in this area, died last week in San Angelo and funeral services were held Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Alexander and her husband had moved to San Angelo about a month previously, from their home in Westover. She had been ill for several years.
In Arlington, she and Alexander were married in 1901. In 1907, they came to Young County to make their home.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist church of which she was a long time
member conducted by Rev. J.R. Balch, pastor of the Seymour Baptist church. Burial was in the family plot in the New Olney cemetery, under charge of McCracken Funeral Home.
Surviving: her husband, who for years was a prominent farmer of Young and Baylor counties; four children - C.W. Alexander of Wichita Falls, Mrs. A.C. McGlothlin of San Angelo, Mrs. G.R. Martin of Freeport, Mrs. R.D. McDonald of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
