Carolyn Josephine Collins Bryan, 88, of Kosciusko, formerly of Laurel, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. today at Lake Park Cemetery in Laurel.
She was born June 25, 1918, in Ellisville, graduated from George S. Gardiner High School in Laurel and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She graduated from Louisiana State University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
She retired as a social worker for family and children services with the Coahoma County Welfare Department in Clarksdale.
She was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Clarksdale, a former member of the Clarksdale Garden Club, Business & Professional Women's Club, and the Altrusa Club.
She lived the latter part of her life in Kosciusko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Myer and Jackson Lowery Collins, Sr.; brother, Jackson Lowery Collins, Jr.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Hume Bryan Ikerd and William L. Ikerd, Sr., of Kosciusko; grandchildren, William L. Ikerd, Jr. of Tupelo, Bryan G. Ikerd of Lakeland, Tenn., Mary Carolyn Ikerd Williams of Flowood; great-grandchildren, Jackson Taylor Ikerd and William Louis Ikerd, III, both of Tupelo, Anna Louise Ikerd of Lakeland, Mary Parker Williams, Alice Bradley Williams, and Elizabeth Liles Williams, all of Flowood.

Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko is in charge of arrangements.
