CLARENCE COLLINS

Funeral services for life long Ozark County resident Clarence Collins, 88, of Gainesville, were held Friday May 7, at 2 p.m. at Pontiac Cemetery with Bro. Jack Smith officiating and burial in Pontiac Cemetery.

Mr. Collins died at 10:15 p.m., May 4, 1993, at the Gainesville Health Care Center. He was born July 28, 1904, at Pontiac, the son of William D. and Sarah (Mahan) Collins, both of whom preceded him in death,

He was married on Jan. 20, 1927, at Monkey Run, Ark., to Cuba M. Lamb.

His occupation was in the farming and agricultural industry.

Mr. Collins is survived by two sons, Guy Collins of Mountain Home, Ark., and W. D. Collins of Gainesville, three daughters, Wanda Moody, of Wichita, Kans., and Dixie and Janet Collins, both of Gainesville: eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Cuba, in 1981, and a daughter, Helen Jean Michaels.

Pallbearers were Rob Collins, Jimmy Carl Smith, Junior Collins, Freddie Collins, Stanley Chaney and Ed Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Collins and Don Decker, Vocal music was provided by Barbara Henning.
