Gramling - SALLIE VASSEY COLLINS, 91, of 135 New Cut Road, died July 8, 1990, in St. Luke's Hospital, in Columbus, NC.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of JOHN LANDRUM COLLINS and daughter of the late JOHN THOMAS and EFFIE McDADE VASSEY. She was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, EDNA COLLINS WEST of Gramling; a brother, LEE VASSEY of Spartanburg; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the Petty Funeral Home in Landrum. Services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral chapel by the Revs. DONNIE SOLESBEE, STEVE MORGAN and GUY LAWSON. Burial will be in the Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. OLIN WEST, 135 New School Road, Gramling.
