Greenwood, Sept. 23 - Louie Esther Collins, 67, died at the home of his son, Clarence Collins, Henderson Street, after declining health of three months. Mr. Collins was born at Salem, son of the late John Collins and Carrie Kelly Collins, both of Oconee County. He made his home in Greenwood for 31 years and was employed at the Ninety Six plant of Greenwood Mills. He attended the church of God in Ninety Six. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula Lee Davis; five sons, T. J., John B., and Clarence Collins, all of Greenwood, and G. V. and Ernest Collins of Calhoun Falls; two daughters, Mris Ruthie Mae Farmer of Joanna and Mrs. Lois Blackwell of Lydia Mills; two brothers, John and Gus Collins of Oconee County; 36 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren. Interment in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The State, Sept. 24, 1957.
